So sorry that I haven't been posting as often as I would have liked to, my school schedule has become more hectic than usual...
Anyways, Joey Yung's 1314 concert DVD came out earlier this month and her limited edition version came out yesterday (support!👍) and I can't wait to receive my copy 😁 The concert is filled with both fast paced energetic songs such as 加大力度 and slow romantic ones like the one from her previous album 小日子 and 天窗. Whether you are a Joey fan or just like some of her songs (On Call fans!), I'm sure you will love her after watching her concert. Waiting for 1314 world tour!

Joey in Concert 1314
Tonight is the last night of Joey in concert 1314 and I'd like to dedicate this post to the 15 show concert.
I went to concert 1314 on 28th December 2013 and it was really the most amazing show I've seen, mainly because its one of the few concerts I've seen in real life and also my first time at THE HKC. Compared to the 12 show and world tour Concert Number 6 (No.6), she toned down on the dance segments and started with a slow song 小日子 as compared to the fast paced 逃 which she opened No.6 with. However, remixes of 我的骄傲 and 未知 made these classics have a fresh feel. She also had an electric guitar segment which she played 空港 and Honey! in.
Okay confession. I cried the entire first segment. Not really because the songs were particularly moving, but because it was like a mix of "I finally get to see her again!!!", "this is the girl I stay strong and look forward to seeing" and "OHMYGOSH THE HKC AH IM FINALLY HERE". But after that I just went super high and jumping during the faster songs.
The costumes were gorgeous. The opening costume was an elegant black gown with silver bracelets (which one of them fell) and really showed off her figure. The props for that segment, the house, was really cool and well constructed and it seemed to just come out of nowhere from under the stage. The lightings had a really pretty effect on the atmosphere.
Second segment had her in a cute colorful minidress and she came out in a plane prop (is this a reference to the TITS2 craze this year or purely coincidental?) This segment was fun to watch and the pink plane was so cute. Okay my brain is not very linear so I may not remember the sequence correctly.
The section dedicated to mothers was touching and made me realize that I should appreciate my mom more. (okay I almost cried at this part too I cry easily) Anyway, on the first day, Jo managed to trick the audience for a while by announcing her "pregnancy" and it was actually pretty funny, her joking and all, but I almost got a heart attack when my friend suddenly messaged me in caps that she was pregnant. I actually freaked out a lot because I couldn't read any articles coz I didn't really have internet. So on Christmas day on the way to lamma island I was on the ferry trying not to scream. Okay that's a side story which I will not elaborate on.
The section where she played the guitar was super cool coz I never knew she could play the electric guitar. (Can you teach me hahaha) and also the dance segment for 我的骄傲.
During the 中秋节 segment, she came over to my side of the HKC (yellow segment. I was sitting with JY6) and she actually had eye contact with me and waved back! I was literally screaming then! She wore a (very revealing) black cheongsam, telling us about her diet (which she started 2 months before concert and was complaining abit about) and telling us to take more photos of her so skinny, saying she would gain it back in no time but I don't think she would though she always maintains such a good figure *super jealous*.
I think the most daring (and my favorite) costume was the star stripe bra which covered barely and had a skin colored back. (Nice abs by the way). She also wore a black gown with a huge bat on her head one segment, which would have been really nice and cool if not for the dancers in that really weird, revealing costume. Not really necessary in my opinion.
Then there was the really big dress in the snow globe which I didn't really have a good view of as it was directly on the other end of the stage. The encore costume was a semi transparent gown over a skin colored mini dress which was pretty on her. I actually kinda wanted to see the hot pink sparkly dress she wore on the first few shows but that's okay.
Okie that was a pretty short summary of the concert that doesn't really do justice to it coz there was so much feel and energy in the actual concert itself that cannot be put in words or captured on camera. Hope 1314 will be a world tour too and she can come to Singapore again!
Jo, if by some reason you manage to see this blog post, GOOD SHOW TONIGHT and thank you for a fantastic 1314. Take care of yourself kay? Rest well.

TVB Awards 2013
LAST NIGHT WAS THE TVB AWARDS!
okie im sure everyone is thinking "duh i knew that already i would be a tvb fan before i would read your blog" right?
But I'm not here to post the results. They're pretty much everywhere you can easily find that yourself and me posting about them again is redundant. So i guess you're wondering what am i talking about now right?
I want to address the reactions to some of the awards given, namely the TV King and TV Queen awards.
Prior to the awards I do know that the hot favourites for the night were Kenneth Ma (On Call 36 Hours II) and Chilam Cheung (Triumph in the Skies II) for TV King and Tavia Yeung (On Call 36 Hours II) and Linda Chung (Brother's Keeper) for TV Queen and they did get a lot of support from their fans. Surprise surprise I guess everyone got complacent and didn't spam enough votes coz they thought they would definitely get the awards. Well Dayo Wong (Bounty Lady) and Kristal Tin (Brother's Keeper) won the awards instead. And I really want to congratulate them on winning the awards. They really deserved the awards for the work they put in. Not like any of them didn't deserve the awards I would have given them all awards if I could.
The point I would like to address is the reaction SOME fans had after the results broadcast. They started to accuse the awards of being rigged and some went to the point of saying that they were going to boycott the dramas that Kristal was in. I believe that is really childish behaviour on their part. even if they believed that their idols were going to win very strongly, well, who wouldnt want their idol to win? They were very rude about the whole issue and I find that whoever wins we should be happy for them.
I mean look at Myolie. She didn't win a single award last night but she looked the happiest to me. She was literally smiling from ear to ear and congratulated all of them, even for the awards she was nominated for but didn't receive. This is the spirit we should adopt, not bashing other people for getting well earned awards. I mean if TVB was just your bias and no one else we wouldn't be watching anymore dramas because there are so many people working hand in hand and behind the scenes unrecognised just to put together one drama.
On that note, I would like to make a huge shoutout to all the cast, carelafare artistes, extras, stunt doubles, camera men, make-up and wardrobe crew and most of all to the director. These people aren't usually recognised but without them it would be impossible to have the dramas we all love to watch. Thank You.
I would also like to recognise the new award put in place this year, the outstanding actors and the lifetime achievement awards which were given to the veterans. I really love these new awards as they are giving the veterans recognition too. The veterans, I find, put in the most work on their part. I mean its hard enough filming when you're still young and full of energy. But I find maybe they should do something for the veterans like the TV King and TV Queen awards, with fan votes and nominations too. maybe they could put in place an award higher than TV King and TV Queen like Heavenly King/Queen awards for the veterans instead and make those awards of higher honour than the TV King and Queen awards.
Well thats a piece of my own thoughts on the awards last night. Congratulations again to all the winners last night. Okay I'm going to post the results anyway hehehe

Singapore Hit Awards 2013
Long time no see long time no see~ haha start this off with Doom Dada lyrics cos they fit. Im back from my hiatus yay
Last night was the 18th Singapore Hit Awards and Denise Ho (HOCC), Julien Cheung, Karen Mok and surprise guests Grasshopper were at the scene!
I know most people were there to watch Captain Cool, he was very popular last night, but personally a HOCC fan, I went with a bunch of other gootoes (her fans) to watch the awards! And oh my did she look good last night! She was absolutely stunning! She took back the versatile female artiste award and the outstanding regional artiste award for Hong Kong. Denise also performed [The Science Of Crying] before leaving the awards show earlier to catch a flight to Taiwan (on scoot afterwhich she complained about the service and the plane but what can you expect from a budget airline?) for the Golden Horse Awards which is set for tonight. Us Gootoes were screaming loudly everytime she got an award and when she performed the song we were singing along to it.
Okay back to Chilam. He was an obvious favorite in the crowd, bagging some popularity awards and singing 岁月如歌. Looking as cool as the name of his character from Triumph in the Skies II suggests, he looked so charming in his suit which made him look very handsome.
Karen Mok won many many awards last night, so many that i couldnt be bothered to count (well also the fact that i was there for Denise and wasnt really paying attention to many other artistes. She looked super elegant in her sparkly blue dress and hairstyle. Magic Power also asked her to go on stage to perform with them, which she gamely agreed to go along with. Well, the awards have proven that it IS The Age Of Moknificance now dont they?
Grasshopper was certainly a surprise for me. Since this was my first awards show, or at least my first time viewing it live and the first time I have watched the SHA, I didnt know what the Honorary Award was and I didnt research on the SHA so... Anyway, Grasshopper turned up in matching pink suits and performed quite a spectacular performance. Many fans, and believe me when I say many, more than half the crowd all stood up and were all crowding and rushing to the front in an attempt to be closer to them. Goodbye prim and proper awards etiquette, hello concert mayham. Grasshopper also announced last night that they would be having a concert in Singapore in March next year.
Denise Ho receiving an award
And.... Performance time! Doesn't she look stunning?
I'll probably post up more photos later on, but for now its bye! Can't wait to see Denise come to Singapore again!-SG

15-09-2013 Tavia Yeung and Michelle Yim in Singapore
Hey Guys! I'm back! :)
So the previous Sunday, Tavia and Michelle were here in SINGAPORE! Yes I was super hyped up! A couple of my friends and I who all love TVB, namely "The Teas" (This is our nickname and I will probably be mentioning them again in future posts. They are Melon Tea, Milk Tea, Lemon Tea and Green Tea aka DaiGreen (DG) My own nickname is Siu Green (SG) ) and Isabelle were there to support the event, especially since we loved On Call 36 小时 (The Hippocratic Crush) and LOVED Tavia!
The event was crazy! But first lemme share the airport experience as told to me by the Milk, Lemon and DG (Melon didn't go for the event and I was busy). The teas were at the airport very early to wait for Tavia's arrival, waking up at 8am, much earlier than usual because of wake up calls from yours truly ;) I couldn't sleep well myself and woke up at 6am, staying up to chat with another friend but that's another story. So anyway DG went super early and she was complaining to me that her feet hurt from wearing heels on the way to the MRT station at 9am. Tavia's fanclub (FC) would be meeting at 11:45am to wait for Tavia and that was early so you can imagine how early they were there. At 11am they had all already checked in at the airport through whatsapp! And that included waiting for everyone to arrive at different timings. Lemon was the most excited one because Tavia was her favourite actress and she would be seeing her for the first time in Singapore and she kept hurrying Milk even though it was still very early. They ended up very lucky, being able to take individual photos with Tavia and for Lemon to even shake her hand! Afterwards when Tavia left they were supposed to meet me at Vivo for lunch and to wait for the event to start. While I reached there around 12:20pm, I suddenly received a call from DG saying that they haven't even left the airport and that they were on the way. As I was with my family I decided to go shopping instead while waiting for them but then got a call saying that they had overshot because they were fangirling and needed to take a train back! Just as well I was having problems with the stuff I bought and had to exchange them.
I got up to the event area at 2pm to get spots for the event which started at 5pm. The teas and Isabelle arrived quite soon after. (a lot of random things happened in the 3 hours that are not related to the event so I shall not specify on them. However it included trying to pass the fries to each other as we couldn't finish them) Fast forward to the event at 5
5pm the emcee came out and started us with questions about the two artistes that were coming. Of the questions he asked, Lemon was able to get one of them right and got a goodie bag from starhub. After a long and tiring wait and with us getting restless, Tavia and Michelle finally arrived! Tavia was in a white shirt and black skirt while Michelle was in a completely hot pink outfit! The whole audience went crazy and started screaming. When they finally came out from behind the stage again, the emcee started to interview them on stage, such as asking them who they would vote for the Favorite Male Award, which made the crowd go crazy when Tavia said she would vote for Kenneth! They are many peoples' OTP Kenta and everyone was screaming! When Michelle was presented with the same question she, too, answered Kenneth and made everyone scream again. The two of them were also super nice and supportive of each others' nominations and told everyone to vote for the both of them, joking that it would be best if the both of them could win all the awards.
That day was a super lucky day for Lemon as she got chosen to be one of the 4 fans to go on stage and play games with the artistes! She was on the second round that would have Tavia and Michelle do whatever a piece of paper said to do.
The first round was the puzzle game. Michelle and Tavia had to fix together a puzzle of the awards poster with the fans they had picked. It wasn't as easy as it sounded though as it was timed and they had to compete against each other. However, both of them were very sporting and helped each other with the puzzles. Tavia complained that it was easier to complete the puzzle second when Michelle started quickly but after a while she changed her opinion and said that it was just as hard when Michelle started struggling with her puzzle too.
Second round: the dares. Lemon and a male fan of Michelle's went on stage. When the emcee asked the other fan who he came here with he actually said his wife! Then he clarified. His HONG KONG wife, meaning Michelle. He even wanted to hug her and the emcee said "you can only hug me. do you want to hug me?" to which he gamely replied "okay i dont mind" and the emcee put his arm around him. Lemon on the other hand was up on stage COVERING HER FACE THE WHOLE TIME. She absolutely REFUSED to take her hands off her face and the events people even thought she was crying! She wasn't crying though not yet anyways haha. So there we were the whole time with Lemon back facing Tavia and with her hands on her face and Michelle and the emcee trying to get her to uncover her face and look at Tavia. It even got to a point where they told Tavia to go stand beside the tv in a bid to get her to look at Tavia. "She's peeking she's peeking its counted." Michelle laughed when after a while Lemon went and covered her face again. When they finally got back on track, Michelle picked one that said 'take a picture together with your fan' while Tavia got one that said 'fan your fan'. The photo was done very fast and Michelle spent the rest of the time trying to get Lemon to turn around and face Tavia. In the end it was the emcee who said "it is very rude to have your back facing your idol" that made her turn around, while covering her face again! In the end she got her hand off her face and shook Tavia's hand. Michelle then asked her some questions and she even got a hug from Tavia! After receiving the other goodie bag she left the stage quickly, before turning back to have a photo taken with both Michelle and Tavia. When asked by the emcee if she had encountered fans like this before, Tavia laughed saying "this is my first time meeting a fan who is too scared to look at me! she is very unique"
Michelle's fanclub also presented her with a cake and flowers for her birthday which was in September! Tavia hugged Michelle and wished her happy birthday.

Okay I have been talking about Lemon most of the post. Back to Milk and DG they managed to win photos with Michelle and Tavia and I managed to get an autograph from Michelle. Tavia walked off too fast for me to try to get an autograph from her.
I really don't know how to end off this post now so...
